    Purpose of the Position:

    The Junior Digital Marketer will support the marketing and student recruitment department, working closely with the Manager and Senior Manager. The position requires a skilled digital marketer with expertise in content creation, social media management, and digital advertising. The individual will ensure the NWU brand is consistently represented across all digital platforms.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Digital Media Management:

    • Create and publish engaging content on digital platforms.
    • Design and execute digital campaigns for marketing, corporate, and stakeholder communication.
    • Ensure the NWU brand strategy is applied across all digital platforms.
    • Support senior digital marketers in running digital advertising campaigns.
    • Stay updated on current trends and platform-specific layouts for effective execution.

    2. Brand Engagement and Monitoring:

    • Daily monitoring of NWU’s official social media platforms.
    • Track NWU’s brand reputation using monitoring tools.
    • Engage with stakeholders and customers via various social channels.
    • Provide feedback and advice on social media performance and best practices.

    3. Content Creation and Design:

    • Capture and edit photos and videos for social media and other platforms.
    • Create high-quality content across multiple formats (visual, text, video) that aligns with NWU’s brand.
    • Collaborate with different campus teams to identify brand ambassadors.

    4. Digital Marketing Tools and Analytics:

    • Utilize marketing automation software, content management systems, and SEO tools.
    • Conduct A/B testing to optimize online ad campaigns.
    • Analyze digital campaign data to make informed decisions.

    5. Crisis Management:

    • Identify potential brand-damaging situations and escalate them to relevant stakeholders promptly.
    • Maintain NWU’s reputation by handling crises on social platforms efficiently.

    • Proficiency in content management systems, SEO tools, and social media management tools.
    • Competency in photography, videography, graphic design, and multimedia editing software.
    • Ability to run and optimize digital ad campaigns across various platforms.
