SPAR Group YES Programme Overview

Positions Available


  • Expertise in financial planning, budget management, and cost analysis.
  • Application of analytical skills for financial forecasting and strategic financial decisions.


  • Engagement in creative campaign development, market analysis, and brand management.
  • Involvement in buying, negotiating, and stock planning with a strong emphasis on financial acumen.

Information Technology:

  • Opportunities in system development, cybersecurity, and IT project management.
  • Roles include Retail Systems Specialist, Business Analytics, and Customer Liaison, where a Driver’s License is beneficial.


  • Experience in supply chain optimization, freight logistics, and road transport management.
  • Exposure to consumer science applications in food and nutrition, as well as quality control in food technology and microbiology.


  • Focus on environmental health, safety management, and quality assurance.
  • Emphasis on implementing and maintaining safety protocols and quality standards.

Minimum Requirements

  • South African Citizenship
  • Aged 18 – 28
  • Not currently studying full-time and unemployed
  • Passed Matric with relevant tertiary qualifications
  • No criminal record
  • Not previously participated in YES
  • Able to commit to the 12-month program from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025
