Job Summary
As an IT Temp Trainee, your primary responsibility will be to assist Legal Aid SA’s end-users with IT-related issues. You will provide one-on-one training on the use of computer hardware, peripherals, and non-application software programs. Your support will play a crucial role in ensuring that Legal Aid SA’s workstations are optimally functional and defect-free.
Key Responsibilities
- Hardware Installation and Maintenance:
You will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of computer hardware. This includes ensuring that all workstations are running efficiently and addressing any hardware issues that arise. - Software Installation and Support:
As part of your role, you will install and maintain various software programs to ensure that the organisation’s systems are up-to-date and functioning correctly. - End-User Support and Training:
Providing one-on-one training to end-users is a crucial aspect of this position. You will assist employees in navigating the technology, ensuring they are comfortable using the hardware and software provided to them.
Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes Required
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Educational Qualifications:
A Grade 12 certificate and a three-year qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognised university, technikon, or tertiary institution. - Work Experience:
A minimum of one year of relevant work experience in an Information Systems (IS) department, with a focus on support functions. - Interpersonal Skills:
The ability to work effectively within a team environment, especially in collaboration with the IS team, is crucial. - Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems efficiently are essential for success in this role. - Project Management:
Basic project management experience is required, as you will be tasked with managing small projects that contribute to the efficiency of the IT systems. - Service Excellence:

Basic Salary
