    Research Unit Intern Requirements:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    A Bachelor’s Degree is a prerequisite, with enrollment in an Honours program in one of the following fields being highly advantageous:

    • Public Administration/Management or Governance
    • Economics/Development Studies
    • Political Science
    • Social Science

    Duties:

     

    As an Intern in the Research Unit, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of research, contributing to meaningful projects and initiatives:

    • Engage in the comprehensive analysis of departmental reports, gaining insights into the legislative process.
    • Participate in fieldwork and independent verification, honing your practical research skills.
    • Collaborate with researchers to implement strategic imperatives, gaining hands-on experience.
    • Undertake proactive fieldwork, a valuable opportunity to learn about on-the-ground research methodologies.
    • Contribute to various research projects, enabling you to apply your skills to diverse topics.
    • Contribute to the development of insightful research papers and Policy Brief articles.
    • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of a robust stakeholder database.
    • Prepare detailed individual reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.

    Embrace a versatile role, readily taking on additional tasks as required within the research unit.

    Notes on the Internship Opportunity:

    • This opportunity is open exclusively to South African citizens.
    • Applicants should be aged between 18 and 35.
