Job Description

The Grow-IT internship program is designed to develop the next generation of IT professionals by providing practical experience and training in various specializations. Interns will gain both technical and behavioral competencies that are essential for their professional growth.

  • Duration: One-year contract with the possibility of extension based on performance.
  • Placement: Interns will be placed within the IT environment to acquire necessary skills and experience.


To be considered for this Information Technology Internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: National Diploma (NQF 6) in IT, Computer Systems Engineering, or a degree (NQF 7) in Informatics (BCom or BSc), Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Statistics.
  • Citizenship: South African citizen.
  • Age: Between 18 and 35 years.

    • Involves managing and maintaining data center infrastructure and ensuring operational efficiency.
    • Skills gained: Server management, network configuration, hardware maintenance, and disaster recovery planning.
  6. Cybersecurity Operations
    • Covers protecting IT systems and data from cyber threats and ensuring compliance with security policies.
    • Skills gained: Threat analysis, incident response, security protocols, and risk management.
  7. National Cash Management
    • Involves managing the supply and distribution of cash within the national economy.
    • Skills gained: Cash logistics, inventory management, financial forecasting, and secure transportation methods.
  8. Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)
    • Focuses on ensuring that IT operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements while managing risks.

    • Involves managing and configuring the ServiceNow platform to support business processes.
