Requirements
The IDC Internship Program is open to South African citizens under the age of 35 who have completed their qualifications and are eager to gain practical experience. To be eligible, you must:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be younger than 35 years of age.
- Have completed your qualification in one of the fields listed below.
- Not be studying at any other institution.
- Not be registered or have been on any other Learnership or Internship Program.
The IDC is looking for candidates who have completed qualifications in the following fields:
- Commerce: BCom Accounting/Financial Management, BTech Cost & Management Accounting, BCom (Law), CTA, and Honours in Finance or Accounting.
- Law: LLB.
- Finance and Mathematics: Honours in Mathematical Finance, Financial Engineering, Quantitative Risk, Finance, Financial Modelling, Actuarial Science, Financial Econometrics, Mathematical Economics.
- Tourism: Diploma in Travel Tourism/Business Travel.
- Engineering: BEng. Industrial Engineering, BSc Environmental Science.
- Human Resources: BCom/BA Human Resource Management, Diploma in Human Resources Management/Development, BA/BCom Psychology, Master’s in Psychology (completed or in progress).
- Information Management: Diploma/Degree in Information Management, Archival Studies.
- Logistics: Degree/Diploma in Logistics Management, Purchasing.
- Information Technology: BSc IT, B.IT.
- Media and Communication: BA/Advanced Diploma in Media Studies, Journalism, Communication, Brand Communication.
- Marketing and Project Management: BCom Marketing Management, Public Relations, Project Management.
