    This role reports directly to the Human Capital Practitioner, providing support and ensuring smooth administration of human resource processes in the Nxanatseni Region.

    Key Responsibilities:

    The Human Capital Clerk is a pivotal role within the Human Capital Management division, responsible for a range of duties including, but not limited to:

    • Administration of Employment-Related Processes: Handle all employment-related tasks such as processing appointments, employment applications, resignations, and promotions.
    • Salary and Payroll Management: Ensure the timely preparation and submission of salary instructions for approval before forwarding to Payroll. This includes resolving payroll errors from the HCM admin side, capturing leave and timekeeping information, and ensuring accurate payroll data management.
    • Data Entry and Maintenance: Accurately capture and maintain employee data in the Sage 300 System and keep all employee files up to date, ensuring information is readily accessible when required.
    • Leave Administration: Manage monthly leave administration for all employees, ensuring timely submissions and accuracy of records.
    • HR Support and Communication: Respond to all internal and external HR-related inquiries and requests promptly. Provide administrative support to the department and statistical data to the Human Capital Practitioner for the preparation of monthly reports and statistics.

    This Human Capital Clerk Job Opportunity demands a candidate who is proactive, has a strong sense of responsibility, and can perform tasks with minimal supervision. Discretion in handling confidential information is crucial, along with good communication skills, both written and verbal.

    Requirements:

    To be considered for this position, the candidate must meet the following requirements:

    • Educational Background: Minimum NQF Level 6, which could be a National Diploma in Human Resource or Office Administration Diploma.
    • Work Experience: 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience in the field of Human Capital Management or HR.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook.
    • Additional Knowledge and Skills:
      • Familiarity with legislation, policies, regulations, and procedures relevant to the HR field.
      • Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
      • Active listening, service orientation, coordination, and time management.
      • Speed writing or shorthand writing capabilities.
      • Professional telephone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills.
