Key Responsibilities
The bartender will play a central role in enhancing the customer experience by performing duties such as:
- Welcoming guests and ensuring the bar area is clean, fully stocked, and ready for service
- Taking and processing beverage and food orders, and ensuring they are served promptly
- Promoting daily specials and upselling menu items
- Operating the POS system to process payments accurately
- Managing float counts, recording transactions, and reconciling sales
- Monitoring and restocking bar inventory, including glassware, condiments, and supplies
- Recording stock requisitions and disclosing any breakages or wastage
- Assisting with shift transitions and ensuring the next team inherits a clean, orderly station
- Following all internal procedures and participating in general housekeeping duties
- Addressing and logging customer complaints, while notifying supervisors as necessary
