Role and Responsibilities
As an educator in the Further Education and Training (FET) phase, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing instructional programs tailored to guide and encourage high school students to achieve their full academic potential.
Specific duties include:
- Academic Delivery:
- Plan and execute engaging lessons in Afrikaans and Life Orientation.
- Use creative teaching methods to motivate students and develop critical thinking skills.
- Academic Assessment & Reporting:
- Regularly assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare reports on student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
- Student Behaviour Management:
- Foster a positive learning environment that promotes respect and collaboration.
- Implement behavior management strategies to support student development.

- Participate actively in school events, contributing to the school community.
- Administration:
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to administrative requirements.

Qualifications and Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree (NQF level 7) with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or Bachelor of Education (FET) with a specialization in Afrikaans and Life Orientation.
- 2-5 years of teaching experience in a high school environment, with expertise in the subjects to be taught.
- SACE certification and police clearance, which are mandatory requirements.
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality educational programs.
- Familiarity with the IEB curriculum is advantageous.
- Proficiency in computer and digital literacy.
