    Key Responsibilities

    1. Academic Delivery (40%)

    • Implement a future-focused curriculum aligned with Crawford’s educational philosophy.
    • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons to support individual learning journeys.
    • Use technology and additional learning resources to enhance the teaching experience.
    • Provide academic and emotional support to students.
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues and engage in professional development programs.
    • Participate in extra-curricular activities, school duties, and events.

    2. Academic Assessment & Reporting (20%)

    • Continuously assess student progress and maintain accurate records.
    • Utilize data-driven decision-making to personalize learning approaches.
    • Prepare reports for parents, school principals, and the academic department.
    • Engage in standardization and moderation of assessments as required.

    3. Student Behaviour Management (10%)

    • Establish classroom rules and encourage positive behavior.
    • Support the personal, social, physical, and emotional well-being of students.
    • Provide guidance and advice to students and parents.
    • Identify and assist students with learning barriers, ensuring they receive the necessary support.

    4. School Brand Ambassadorship (10%)

    • Represent Crawford International by demonstrating professionalism and integrity.
    • Participate in school events, open days, and exhibitions to promote the school.
    • Support new teachers, student teachers, and interns in their development.
    • Submit articles for newsletters, school magazines, and social media updates.

    5. Administration (10%)

    • Plan and manage class timetables effectively.
    • Organize excursions, events, and classroom setups.
    • Maintain learning spaces as dynamic environments for students.
    • Conduct inventory checks and report needs for materials and equipment.

    6. Health & Safety (10%)

    • Ensure the safety and well-being of students in all activities.
    • Apply first aid as needed and report medical incidents.
    • Monitor classroom and playground areas for potential hazards.
    • Educate students on personal safety and social responsibility.

    Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

    • Degree (NQF Level 6) and PGCE or B.Ed. (Intermediate/Intersen or Senior Phase).
    • Must be willing to teach across different subjects (generalist approach preferred).
    • Honours degree in an education-related field (preferred).
    • IB PYP Training (beneficial).
    • Valid SACE Certificate.
    • Police Clearance Certificate.
    • Valid Driver’s License.

    Experience Required

    • 3–5 years of teaching experience.
    • 1-year teaching internship (at Principal’s discretion).
    • Knowledge of Global Competencies, Inquiry-Based Learning, and Digital Literacy is a plus.
