Purpose of the Role
The General Store Assistant will play a key role in maintaining the store’s stock, merchandising, and cleaning. This position is integral to the daily operation of the business, ensuring that stock is received, properly stored, and easily accessible to customers. The store assistant will be expected to support various tasks related to stock receiving, pre-packing, cleaning, and ensuring the store’s organization aligns with Econo Foods’ high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock Receiving and Off-Loading: The store assistant will be responsible for receiving deliveries and off-loading stock, ensuring that items are placed in the correct locations in the store and refrigerated units.
- Pre-Packing: The assistant will help with pre-packing frozen food items, ensuring that products are ready for display and sale.
- Merchandising and Cleaning: Part of the role will involve maintaining a clean and organized store environment, ensuring that the products are well-arranged and easy to access.
- Reporting & Counting: Regular stock checks and reporting on inventory levels will be required to maintain accuracy and avoid discrepancies.
