Available Job Positions
The Free State Department of Education is currently recruiting for the following positions at Rosenhof Special School:
1. Staff Nurse (Grade 1 – Grade 3)
- Reference Number: PS4/2024/01
- Salary: R209,112 – R362,187 per annum
- Location: Rosenhof Special School, Bloemfontein
- Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Staff Nurse
- Valid driver’s license
- Additional Recommendations:
- Three years of experience working with youth experiencing severe emotional and behavioral challenges is advantageous.
- Responsibilities:
- Provide basic clinical nursing care in accordance with healthcare standards.
- Promote quality nursing care for patients.
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain good communication with patients, supervisors, and other healthcare professionals.
- Advocate for the needs and rights of patients under care.
2. Child and Youth Care Worker (Grade 1 – Grade 3)
- Reference Number: PS4/2024/02
- Salary: R174,711 – R231,042 per annum
- Location: Rosenhof Special School, Bloemfontein
- Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification
- Child Youth & Care Certificate or an equivalent qualification
- Additional Recommendations:
- Three years of experience working with youth facing severe emotional and behavioral challenges is advantageous.
- Responsibilities:
- Support and assist educators and learners in addressing barriers to learning.
- Create a positive learning environment for students.
- Provide developmental child and youth care services.
- Assess learners and create Individual Developmental Plans (IDPs).
- Maintain progress reports and daily observations of learners.

Selection Process
