About the Festive Casual Role
The Festive Casual position is a multi-skilled role designed to support various functions at the cinema. The selected candidates will work under supervision, performing duties such as cashiering at the Box Office or Catering Sales, assisting guests with collections, serving as Cinema Assistants, Waiters, and Poppers, or any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
This role is ideal for entry-level candidates passionate about providing excellent customer service and contributing to memorable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the smooth operation of the cinema and delivering a high-quality experience to Ster-Kinekor guests:
- Product Knowledge & Upselling:
- Stay updated on Ster-Kinekor’s products, services, and promotional activities.
- Confidently upsell products and promotions to guests.
- Presentation Standards:
- Adhere to Ster-Kinekor’s presentation standards, including neat and updated posters, clearly visible disclaimers, and age restriction displays.
- Food & Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare food items like popcorn and slush to the company’s quality standards.
- Monitor and report any deviations from quality expectations.
- Shift Preparation & Hygiene:
- Assist in preparing shifts and maintaining cleanliness in all assigned areas.
- Ensure storerooms, kitchens, and surrounding areas meet hygiene standards.
- Safety & Uniform Compliance:
- Adhere to safety and uniform protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
- Submit Health and Safety (H&S) reports as required.
- Customer Engagement:
- Conduct oneself professionally and respectfully as a Ster-Kinekor ambassador.
- Engage positively with guests to enhance their cinema experience.
Qualifications & Experience
Ster-Kinekor seeks candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
- Education:
- A minimum qualification of Matric is required.
- Experience:
- 0 to 1 year of work experience in a similar role.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Familiarity with VISTA software is advantageous but not essential.
