    Key Responsibilities

    In this role, the Faculty Librarian will provide essential information services to the Law Faculty, facilitating academic success for students and researchers alike. The main focus of this position includes managing a team of librarians and student assistants, collaborating with faculty staff, and ensuring that library resources are up-to-date and accessible to all. The following are the core responsibilities:

    1. Relationship Building, Collaboration, and Communication

    One of the key functions of this position is to maintain and develop productive working relationships with students, faculty members, and research staff. The librarian will act as a liaison between the library and the Law Faculty, understanding their needs and ensuring that library services align with academic goals.

    2. Information Retrieval and Research Support

    The librarian will assist students and researchers in locating, evaluating, and using legal information efficiently. This includes conducting research consultations and training sessions that support academic success. You will also guide users in accessing both digital and physical legal resources.

    3. Information Skills and Learning Support

    Teaching and promoting information literacy among students is a critical task.     Minimum Requirements

    To qualify for this exciting opportunity, you should meet the following criteria:

    Essential Requirements:

    • A Degree in Library and Information Science or an equivalent qualification is required.
    • A minimum of three years of experience in providing information services in a higher education institution library, particularly within a faculty or a specialized/research library setting.

    Desirable Experience:

    • Five years of experience covering all aspects of library functions.
    • At least one year of supervisory or managerial experience is advantageous.
