    Key Purpose of the Job

    As an End User Computing Technician, your primary responsibility will be to provide both remote and onsite LAN and desktop technical support to workstations and network infrastructure. You will ensure that client requirements are met consistently, with a focus on exceeding expectations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide first and second-level LAN and desktop support.
    • Install and configure new IT equipment.
    • Implement, customize, and maintain remote software deployments.
    • Offer support for local IT and software resources within the enterprise.
    • Deliver LAN and desktop advisory services to clients.

    Required Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum qualification: Grade 12 plus a National Higher Certificate in IT (NQF Level 5) with A+/N+ certifications or equivalent.
    • Experience: At least one year in a corporate service management or end-user support environment. Alternatively, 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in End User Computing services and LAN infrastructure maintenance.

    Candidates should be experienced with supporting LAN infrastructure services, including servers, desktops, LAN cabling, switches, and other peripherals. You will also be responsible for resolving hardware and software service requests and incidents.

    Technical Competencies

    • Knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications.
    • Understanding of network cabling, telephony systems, and security software/hardware.
    • Experience with ITIL procedures, internet protocols, routing, switching, and network topology.
    • Ability to provide technical support and maintain application systems related to end-user computing.
