    Educational Requirements

    To qualify for this internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

    1. National Senior Certificate (Matric) – A complete and certified copy of your high school qualification.
    2. N6 Human Resources Management Certificate – This is compulsory. Your academic records and N6 certificate must be certified and included in your application.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    Interns will be exposed to various areas within the Human Resources Department and will be required to:

    • Assist in the selection and appointment processes of lecturers, administrative staff, and support personnel.
    • Attend to enquiries from staff, learners, and members of the public, both in person and via telephone or written correspondence.
    • Manage and process employee leave forms, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and conduct audits related to staff leave.
    • Help maintain and update the campus staff establishment, including information on retirements and other personnel changes.
    • Record, organise, store, capture, and retrieve all HR-related information and administrative documents in line with college policies and regulations.

    This hands-on experience will provide you with exposure to the core functions of HR within an educational institution.

    Required Documents

    Your application must be complete, well-organised, and include the following documentation. Submitting incomplete or incorrectly filled forms will lead to disqualification:

    1. Z83 Application Form – This form must be the new version effective from 01 January 2021. The old version will result in disqualification. You can obtain this form at any Public Service Department.
    2. Curriculum Vitae (CV) – A comprehensive CV detailing your personal information, educational background, and any relevant experience. Include three (3) contactable references with valid email addresses.
    3. Academic Records and Certificates – Certified copies of:
      • N6 Human Resources Management Certificate
      • Matric Certificate
      • Academic transcript showing your N4 to N6 subjects and marks
    4. Identity Document – A certified copy of your South African Identity Document, showing both front and back sides.
    5. Validity of Certifications – All your certified copies must be valid for six (6) months from the date of submission.
