- Repair or replace defective parts with the use of hand tools, welding machines, grinders, and saws.
- Inspect or test parts to determine the nature or cause of malfunctions.
- Recommend improvements to product or component design based on practical observations.
- Maintain test equipment by performing routine maintenance or minor repairs.
- Complete daily documentation including worksheets, certificates, and receipts, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and signed.

Requirements for the Diesel Mechanic Position

- Matric / Grade 12 certificate is mandatory.
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic with relevant trade certification.
