1. SES: Mathematics (FET Phase)
- Location: Gauteng East District
- Salary: R514,563 per annum

- Key Responsibilities: The SES for Mathematics (FET Phase) will coordinate, monitor, and support the implementation of learning area programmes, with a focus on Mathematics within the FET phase (Grades 10–12). The role includes addressing barriers to learning, promoting multi-level assessment practices, and assisting educators with continuous assessment methods.
2. SES: English FAL and Afrikaans HL (ECD & Foundation Phase)
- Location: Gauteng East District
- Salary: R514,563 per annum

- Key Responsibilities: The SES for English FAL (First Additional Language) and Afrikaans HL (Home Language) will be responsible for overseeing the curriculum and learner support in the Early Childhood Development (ECD) and Foundation Phase (Grades R–3). The SES will ensure effective teaching practices and assist in the development of various assessments in line with the policies.
3. SES: English & Afrikaans HL & FAL (Intermediate Phase)
- Location: Gauteng East District
- Salary: R514,563 per annum
- Closing Date: 13 June 2025
- Key Responsibilities: The SES for English & Afrikaans HL & FAL will coordinate and support the curriculum in English and Afrikaans for the Intermediate Phase (Grades 4–6). This role also includes assisting with assessment practices and addressing any barriers to learning that may arise, ensuring all learners are given the best opportunities to succeed.
4. SES: English & Afrikaans (Senior Phase)
- Location: Ekurhuleni South District
- Salary: R514,563 per annum
- Closing Date: 13 June 2025
- Key Responsibilities: The SES for English & Afrikaans (Senior Phase) will manage the curriculum delivery for Grades 7–9, ensuring that teachers are supported in using effective assessment methods and accommodating diverse learners’ needs. This position requires experience in curriculum development and teacher mentorship.
5. SES: Natural Science and Technology (Intermediate Phase)
- Location: Gauteng East District
- Salary: R514,563 per annum
- Closing Date: 13 June 2025
- Key Responsibilities: This role involves coordinating the Natural Science and Technology curriculum for the Intermediate Phase (Grades 4–6), promoting a bias-free assessment system, and supporting educators in delivering engaging lessons. The SES will also track learner performance and resource needs, ensuring the effectiveness of the curriculum implementation.
Minimum Requirements for All Department of Education Job Opportunities:

- A recognized three or four-year qualification in education, which includes professional teacher education.
- 5 years of experience in the educational field, with a focus on teacher development and curriculum management.
- SACE registration (South African Council for Educators).
- Sound knowledge of NQF, CAPS, RNCS & NCS, and other educational frameworks.
- A deep understanding of transformation issues and capacity-building processes in education.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- A qualification in the identified phase (e.g., Senior Phase, Intermediate Phase) will be an added advantage.
