2. Farm Manager

- Requirements: A relevant degree or national diploma in Agriculture (Animal/Plant Production) is essential. Additionally, candidates should have seven years of supervisory experience in an agricultural setting, successful completion of the Corrections Science Learnership, and a valid driver’s license.
- Key Responsibilities: The Farm Manager’s role involves overseeing agricultural production and ensuring that sustainability and self-sufficiency goals are met. - Salary: R491,799 per annum
- Requirements: Applicants must hold a degree or national diploma in Agriculture (Animal Production) or a related qualification. Seven years of relevant experience in a supervisory role, completion of the Corrections Science Learnership, and a valid driver’s license are necessary.
- Key Responsibilities: The Security Manager will maintain agricultural service standards in both animal and plant production. Their duties also involve the management of agricultural labor, machinery, and equipment, ensuring the implementation of self-sufficiency, and upholding security standards within correctional environments.
4. Security Officer: Agriculture (CB 1-3)
- Regions: KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape, Western Cape, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West, Free State, and Northern Cape
- Salary: R313,521 per annum
- Requirements: Candidates should have completed Grade 12 and the Corrections Science Learnership/Basic Training. At least eight years of relevant experience (for consistently above-average officials) or ten years of experience (for average officials) in a correctional facility is required.
- Key Responsibilities: The Security Officer will be responsible for implementing agricultural plant production processes in line with established service standards. The role also entails maintaining agricultural administration and ensuring the sustainability of agricultural production within the correctional environment.
5. Driver/Messenger
- Location: National Head Office
- Salary: R193,359 per annum
- Requirements: A Grade 12 qualification, at least three years of driving experience, and the completion of an advanced driver’s course will be advantageous. Applicants must also possess a valid driver’s license.
- Key Responsibilities: This role involves driving light and medium motor vehicles for the National Commissioner and delivering documents and items. The Driver/Messenger will also manage routine maintenance of vehicles, complete logbooks, and render clerical support in the National Commissioner’s office.
