Requirements:

  • Education Requirements:
    • Possession of an appropriate 3-year National Diploma or B Degree in Arts Administration, accredited at NQF level 6 or 7.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience in the field of Arts and Culture.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Computer literacy, including proficiency in standard office software.
    • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
    • Familiarity with applicable policies and procedures at provincial and national levels.
    • Knowledge of arts and culture, including Public Service delivery strategies.
    • Understanding of Indigenous knowledge systems and their significance in cultural preservation and promotion.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identification and Development:
    • Identify and develop artists and crafters within the community.
    • Implement projects focused on performing and visual arts and crafts.
  • Awareness and Promotion:
    • Create awareness programs for crafts, performing arts, and visual arts within the community.
  • Administrative Functions:
    • Perform administrative tasks related to the implementation of arts and culture programs.
  • Program Implementation:
    • Implement and promote arts, culture, and heritage programs in the service point area.
  • Language Program Administration:
    • Administer language programs specific to the service point area.
  • Database Management:
    • Develop and maintain databases relevant to arts, culture, and heritage initiatives.

    • Attention should be directed to the Director of Human Capital Management.
  • Compliance Requirements:
    • Applicants must complete all fields on the New Amended Z83 Form (No. 81/971431) as prescribed from 01 January 2021, signed, initialled, and dated.
    • Include the Post and Reference Number on the Z83 Form.
    • Include a recent updated curriculum vitae with full personal details, experience, and three contactable referees.
    • Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by SAQA, with proof of evaluation report provided when shortlisted.
