    Key Responsibilities

    This role spans two main functions—events and marketing. You’ll support the Events and Marketing teams in creating, planning, and executing Cricket South Africa’s event and marketing strategies.

    Events Support Responsibilities

    As part of the events team, you’ll be responsible for assisting in the planning, execution, and reporting of CSA’s events, including match days and corporate events. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

    1. Ticketing and Accreditation Management:
      • Support the Ticketing Specialist with administration, record-keeping, and managing complimentary ticket requests.
    2. Event Coordination and Logistics:
      • Assist in all logistical tasks like guest management, RSVPs, travel arrangements, and seating plans.
      • Help put together the branding requirements for events and matches and maintain records for future reference.
    3. On-Site Event Duties:
      • Assist with the distribution of complimentary tickets on match days.
      • Act as a hostess on event days, ensuring smooth event operations.
      • Support with organizing match day activations, managing mascots, and distributing promotional materials.
    4. General Events Administration:
      • Manage event travel arrangements for team members and stakeholders.
      • Support payment processing and PO loading using Fraxion, the procurement system.
      • Assist with the events and activations calendar to ensure all events are prepared and executed effectively.
    5. Match Day Readiness:
      • Work with the Events team to ensure that match and event readiness documentation is prepared and complete.
      • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all aspects of the event meet CSA standards.

    Marketing Support Responsibilities

    You’ll also work with the marketing team on brand-building initiatives that strengthen CSA’s reputation. Here’s what you’ll assist with:

    1. Brand and Marketing Initiatives:
      • Assist in executing Above-The-Line (ATL) initiatives to enhance CSA’s brand awareness.
      • Support Below-The-Line (BTL) promotional activities to engage with CSA’s target audience.
    2. Market Research and Reporting:
      • Conduct research on competitor trends, best practices, consumer behavior, and market trends to keep the marketing team informed.
      • Monitor and report on the CSA brand’s loyalty index and Net Promoter Score to drive improvement strategies.
    3. Promotional and Digital Marketing:
      • Collaborate on developing innovative promotional ideas and digital marketing opportunities that resonate with CSA’s audience.
      • Support the dissemination of brand elements across digital and traditional platforms to reinforce brand loyalty.
    4. Stock and Marketing Material Management:
      • Help coordinate the distribution of marketing materials, manage stock levels, and ensure timely availability for events.
