Minimum Requirements

  • Desirable Experience: Experience in supervising field operations, leading survey projects, and applying theoretical knowledge in practical settings. Experience with digital mapping tools, satellite imagery analysis, and the integration of survey data into planning and design projects adds significant value.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing both small-scale and large-scale surveying projects, including budgeting, staffing, and final delivery within specified timelines.
  • Professional Registration: Compulsory registration with the South African Geomatics Council as a Survey Technician or Surveyor. This registration validates the technician’s qualifications and adherence to the ethical standards and professional practices required in the field of geomatics.
