Job Responsibilities
As a cleaner in the Northern Cape Department of Health, your duties will include:
- Provision of Cleaning Services: Cleaning and maintaining the hygiene of offices and healthcare facilities. This includes collecting and disposing of waste, cleaning walls, windows, doors, and office furniture, as well as sweeping, scrubbing, and waxing floors.
- Maintenance of Cleaning Materials: Ensuring that cleaning materials and equipment are properly used, stored, and maintained. Reporting any broken or malfunctioning equipment and ensuring that cleaning machines like microwaves and vacuum cleaners are cleaned after use.
- General Support: Assisting in other general tasks as needed within the healthcare facility to ensure a clean and healthy environment for staff and patients.
