Cleaner Job Description
As a Cleaner at Broll Property Group, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the building, equipment, and furnishings. Your duties will include routine cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal. The role also involves assisting other personnel when necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Daily Cleaning Duties
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
- Wash and dust walls, tables, doors, light fixtures, vending machines, and windows.
- Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, showers, and tile floors.
- Regularly refill soap, toilet paper, and towel dispensers.
- Empty and clean trash containers and maintain waste receptacles.
- Remove litter from inside and outside the facility as required.
2. Coordination and Communication
- Assist company personnel and service providers as needed.
- Report any significant cleaning concerns or facility problems to management.
3. Client and Public Interaction
- Maintain courteous and professional relations with clients and visitors.
4. Additional Responsibilities
- Perform special cleaning tasks as assigned.
- Ensure facility security by adhering to established protocols.
Performance Expectations
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Maintain clean, neat, and well-organized facilities and equipment.
- Complete all cleaning functions safely, on time, and according to established standards.

Qualifications and Requirements
Education
- No formal education is required, but a Matric certificate is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
- Understanding of basic cleaning techniques and procedures.

- Familiarity with cleaning tools such as vacuums, mops, and brooms.
Experience
- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
