Key Responsibilities
The Candidate Engineer will work closely with the Area/Works Projects Manager and will be tasked with the following:
- Technical Support: Provide engineering support to ensure services meet technical standards, economic feasibility, and municipal policies.
- Project Analysis: Assist in analyzing water conveyance and storage, sewage disposal systems, and associated infrastructure.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with organizations and affected parties to ensure all interests are addressed.
- Contract Supervision: Oversee contracts to guarantee value for money, adherence to safety procedures, and compliance with municipal standards.
- Reporting and Documentation: Draft routing reports, correspondence, and cost estimates for submission to the Area Project Manager.
- Design Compliance: Review developers’ submissions to ensure alignment with the department’s design criteria for sewer and water reticulations in major developments.
