    Main Purpose of the Job

    As a Call Centre Agent, you will perform telephonic data collection from households located in the Gauteng Research Triangle (including Hillbrow, Melusi, and Atteridgeville West). This role will require you to administer questionnaires, educate research participants on GRT-Inspired research activities, and ensure that accurate data is captured to support groundbreaking public health initiatives.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Data Collection: Administer questionnaires telephonically and simultaneously input responses into the relevant database.
    • Target Achievement: Meet daily telephonic data collection targets.
    • Priority Escalation: Identify and escalate priority issues.
    • Call Routing: Direct calls to the appropriate resource as needed.
    • Documentation: Record all call information in line with standard operating procedures.
    • Training Participation: Take part in regular and ad hoc training and meetings related to data collection.
    • Education: Educate research participants about GRT-Inspired research activities.
    • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by your line manager.

    Required Minimum Education and Training

    • Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 (Matric).

    Desirable Skills and Experience

    The following qualifications and abilities will give candidates an advantage:

    • Work Experience: Fieldwork or call centre experience.
    • Communication Skills: Strong voice projection and empathy when engaging with respondents.
    • Technical Skills: Accurate data capturing and proficient typing skills.
    • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

    Minimum Work Experience

    • At least 1 year of experience as a fieldworker or call centre agent is required.
