    Main Purpose of the Role

    As a Call Centre Agent at Premier Meadowview Depot, you will play a vital role in handling both inbound and outbound calls. Your primary responsibility will be to address customer queries and complaints while also soliciting sales orders from customers in both the formal and informal trade sectors. This position is key to maintaining high customer satisfaction and ensuring smooth communication between the company and its clients.

    Your role will involve:

    • Handling customer queries with professionalism and efficiency.
    • Processing sales orders over the phone.
    • Assisting with customer complaints and ensuring quick resolutions.
    • Working closely with other departments to ensure orders are processed correctly and on time.

    Key Responsibilities

    In this position, you will be responsible for the following key duties:

    1. Customer Service Excellence

    • Maintain professional and courteous relations with customers at all times.

    • Promote bulk buying and upselling when applicable to drive sales.

    2. Stakeholder Engagement

    • Work closely with the Warehouse department to resolve any issues related to orders.

    3. Data Entry and Capturing

    • Accurately capture customer orders and information on relevant systems daily.
    • Ensure all customer details are recorded accurately for future reference.

    4. Adherence to Operational Guidelines

    • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for call handling and order processing.
    • Achieve 100% compliance in all calls by adhering to operating guidelines and maintaining quality, accuracy, and proper behavior.

    5. Order Maintenance

    • Perform regular maintenance of customer sales orders.
    • Remove holds on customer orders and obtain necessary authorizations from buying groups when required.

    6. Cross-Training and Teamwork

    • Participate in cross-training within other departments like HPC and Milling.
    • Assist with free stock orders and other special requests when needed.
    • Work as part of a team to ensure the order processing function runs efficiently.

    7. Call Allocation

    • Ensure that all incoming calls are answered promptly, within the allocated timeframe.
    • Maintain high levels of responsiveness to meet customer expectations.

    Qualification Requirements

    To qualify for this position, you will need to meet the following requirements:

    Education

    • Matric Certificate is required.
    • A relevant sales qualification will be advantageous but is not mandatory.

    Experience

    • Essential: 1-2 years of previous experience dealing with customers.
    • Desirable: 1-2 years of exposure to working in a call centre or telesales environment.
    • Experience working in an FMCG environment is highly advantageous.
    • Experience with Excel is also desirable.

    • Communication: You should be proficient in both written and verbal communication, able to address customer queries effectively and professionally.
