    Key Responsibilities of the Beauty Assistant

    As a Beauty Assistant at Clicks, you’ll be at the heart of the beauty department, responsible for delivering exceptional service and driving sales. Your role will include a variety of exciting and fulfilling tasks, such as:

    1. Customer Consultation and Sales:

    • Provide knowledgeable advice on beauty and skincare products to help customers choose the best items for their needs.
    • Drive and maximise sales through product promotion, cross-selling, and up-selling, ensuring that sales targets are consistently achieved.

    2. Product Knowledge and Sales Performance:

    • Stay up-to-date with the latest beauty trends, product ranges, and promotions to offer customers accurate and relevant advice.
    • Evaluate product performance regularly and provide suggestions for improving product offerings to increase sales.

    3. Operational Excellence:

    • Efficiently manage stock levels, ensuring products are always available and well-displayed in-store.
    • Minimise shrinkage and maintain high standards of housekeeping, ensuring the beauty department is always clean and organized.

    4. Visual Merchandising and Presentation:

    • Ensure that in-store displays and product presentations meet Clicks’ visual merchandising standards.
    • Promote exclusive and private-label products, building customer loyalty and increasing profitability.

    5. Customer Service Excellence:

    • Serve as a brand ambassador, offering friendly, professional, and helpful service to every customer.
    • Promote Clicks’ Clubcard program and encourage new memberships to meet participation targets.

    6. Brand Loyalty and Profitable Sales:

    • Build long-term customer relationships by promoting the Clicks brand and offering personalised service.
    • Drive the sales of private label and exclusive products to increase brand loyalty and profitability.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Essential Requirements:

    • Grade 12 Certificate (Matric) – this is a mandatory requirement.

    Desirable Qualifications:

    • Relevant Beauty/Skincare Qualification – a great addition to your resume and experience.
    • Experience working within a beauty, skincare, retail, or FMCG environment would be beneficial, but not mandatory.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Understanding of Selling Principles: Ability to engage with customers and drive sales effectively.
    • Retail/FMCG Knowledge: Familiarity with retail operations, promotions, and stock management.
