    Role Overview

    The primary responsibility of the Assistant Officer Finance Shared Services is to ensure the accurate implementation of accounting transactions in line with Eskom’s policies and procedures within the Accounts Payable division. This role is pivotal in maintaining operational excellence in financial transaction processing, reporting, and internal controls.

    Qualifications

    • National Diploma in Finance at NQF Level 6 with 240 credits.

    Experience

    • A minimum of 2 years’ related experience in Finance is required.

    Key Responsibilities

    The responsibilities of the Assistant Officer Finance Shared Services include, but are not limited to:

    • Verifying and processing local invoices in line with organizational and contractual conditions.
    • Managing retentions and penalties (raised, released, or written off).
    • Conducting checks on transport condition invoices against purchase orders.
    • Capturing invoices based on payment conditions and clearing GR/IR line items.
    • Processing cost price adjustments and validating invoice calculations.
    • Managing down payments and clearing purchase order-related parked items.
    • Handling Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) cases effectively.
    • Validating invoices within the Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) system.
    • Processing invoices related to consignment stock.
