Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this exciting opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Trade Certification:
- Must be a trade-tested artisan in fields related to the building or civil construction environment.
- Experience:
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience in Facilities Management or the Built Environment.
- Knowledge:
- Familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act is essential.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and SAP software.
- Driver’s License:
- Possession of a valid Code 08/EB driver’s license is required.
- A PDP (Professional Driving Permit) will be advantageous.
- Flexibility and Availability:
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions, outside normal working hours during emergencies, and planned overtime.
- The role requires candidates to be on standby.
Key Responsibilities
As an Artisan in Facilities Management, you will be responsible for:
- Site Coordination:
- Interpret and coordinate specific pre-work/site requirements for efficient task execution.
- Compliance with Safety Procedures:
- Ensure that all installations and maintenance activities comply with relevant safety procedures and guidelines.
- Maintenance Management:
- Coordinate and oversee maintenance tasks and sequences, especially in civil maintenance activities.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Handle activities related to fault-finding, troubleshooting, and repairs efficiently.
- Scheduled Maintenance:
- Adhere to planned, scheduled, and predictive maintenance cycles and work procedures.
- Communication:
- Provide effective work instructions and procedures to the team and other stakeholders.
- Documentation:
- Complete and manage internal transactional documentation such as:
- Contract administration
- Timesheets
- Log sheets
