Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the AWS Skills Development Bursary, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Citizenship:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Academic Potential:
- Must demonstrate strong academic and leadership potential.
- High School Achievement:
- Achieved a minimum of 75% in Mathematics and 65% in English at the Matric level.
- Tertiary Performance:
- Must have an overall average of 65% or higher at the tertiary level.
Bursary Coverage
The AWS Bursary will cover various costs associated with studying, up to a capped amount, including:
- Tuition Fees: Full coverage of university tuition fees.
- Accommodation: Costs for residence or private accommodation.
- Subsistence: Allowance for living expenses.
- Stationery and Books: Costs related to necessary academic materials.

Selection Criteria
For Undergraduate Degree Programmes:

- Bachelor of Education (specializing in Maths and Science)
- Eligible for students from the first to the final year of their studies.

- Computer Science, Engineering, and Information Technology
- Bachelor of Commerce (specializing in Accounting and Finance)

For Students with Disabilities:
- Open to undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in all study programmes.
