AWF bursaries will be awarded for the following fields of study at specific institutions:
- University of Cape Town (UCT)
- Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science/Information Systems
- University of the Western Cape (UWC)
- Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science/Information Systems
- Northlink College
- Boilermaker (CBMT Phases 1–4)
- Fitter & Turner – Occupational Program
- Boilermaker (CBMT Phases 1–4)

About the AWF Bursary Programme – Expenses Covered & Selection Process
The Africa Wetu Foundation Bursary covers tuition fees only. Applicants should note that additional expenses, such as accommodation, textbooks, and transport, will not be covered.
Selection Process
- Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a virtual interview.
- Successful candidates will receive confirmation of their bursary award by 31 May 2025.
- If you do not receive feedback by this date, consider your application unsuccessful.

Eligibility Requirements for the AWF Bursary
To qualify for the Africa Wetu Foundation Bursary 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be under the age of 30.
- Must be enrolled in a full-time Master’s degree or Vocational Certificate for the first time in 2025.
- Must be studying within the specified fields of study at one of the approved institutions.
- Must have proven financial need, based on household income.
