Job Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to provide comprehensive training to all provincial users of NaTIS. Additionally, the role involves supervising and coordinating the activities of the division responsible for auditing transactions conducted by internal NaTIS users and performing user acceptance testing. The Administrative Officer position requires a proactive individual capable of working under pressure, managing irregular hours, meeting tight deadlines, and traveling regularly for work.

Minimum Requirements

  • A relevant 3-year National Diploma or B-Degree (or equivalent higher qualification).
  • At least 3 years of relevant NaTIS and administrative experience.
  • A valid code B or higher driving license, or alternative transport for individuals with disabilities.

Key Performance Areas

  1. Supervision and Coordination:
    • Oversee and coordinate activities related to NaTIS training.
    • Ensure effective training facilitation for NaTIS users in the Western Cape.
    • Supervise activities involving the auditing of NaTIS transactions and other crucial tasks performed by internal NaTIS users.
  2. Training Facilitation:
    • Conduct training sessions for NaTIS users.
    • Ensure all users are well-versed in the functionalities and protocols of NaTIS.
  3. Auditing and Supervisory Functions:
    • Oversee the auditing processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
    • Perform supervisory duties, ensuring the smooth operation of the division.


  • Knowledge:
    • Comprehensive understanding of the National Road Traffic Act, 1996, and the National Road Traffic Regulations, 2000.
    • Familiarity with the National and Provincial NaTIS Security Policy.
    • In-depth knowledge of the National Traffic Information System (NaTIS).
  • Skills:
    • Strong numeracy and computer literacy.
    • Excellent language and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in project management.
    • Basic accounting, finance, and audit skills.
    • Ability to conduct economic, financial, and statistical analysis.
    • Effective presentation and legal administration capabilities.


  • Annual Salary: R376,413 (Salary level 8)
